About Me
Hi my name is Tom Durkin and I’m best described as a freelance website designer, SEO and social networking specialist from Chester.
I’m a passionate and upbeat person that loves a challenge and enjoys working with people.
I currently work part time with Eclipse Creative Consultants (A great bunch!) where I complete a range of jobs – anything from designing small graphic buttons for websites, to compiling month end SEO reports and writing social networking strategies for clients.
In my spare time I advertise myself as a freelancer.
My Promise
One of the main reasons I got heavily in to web design was because I was sick of the trash some ‘designers’ and web agencies were putting on to the internet for clients. That’s because I’m passionate about the web, and I want people to be well represented. What most companies and individuals fail to realise is that the up-and-coming generations are more web-savvy than we can possibly imagine. They are using it constantly to communicate, share and, most importantly…buy. You can understand then, that its vital your website is a good representation of the morals and professionalism of your business.
When you choose me to design your website, you can guarantee that these things and many more will be the foundations of your build, and that customers will be compelled to visit and engage.
I always aim to be honest and upfront in my approach, and like to communicate with clients as often as possible. If I feel a job is too big for me I will happily help refer you to an agency.

I usually use a content management system (CMS) called WordPress to power the websites I develop for many reasons – The key being that it enables my clients to regularly update the content themselves, and this is something that is in high demand.
WordPress offers a simple and friendly user interface that will have you building your own content with ease.

The Future
At this moment in time my future plans are to keep developing my website design skills, and to gradually grow my client base. I hope that if the market picks up again in the next few years I will be able to look at setting up as a company, but for now I feel most comfortable working freelance in my spare time.
